Danika [ photo gallery ]

Danika is our homebred Oldenburg mare by the dressage stallion Donner Bube and combines the best of modern dressage lines in her interesting pedigree. She was awarded premium status by the GOV at her inspection and is a very pleasant, friendly filly with a wonderful forward momentum in her movement that is marked by an especially noteworthy uphill canter. Danika was sold in the early fall of 2009 to a dressage home in Southern California. We are looking forward to her future career!

What more could one ask for in a pedigree? The big names of the leading warmblood breeds today are all represented it Danika's first 4 generations and all is based on two incredibly strong mare families that have produced numerous competition horses up to Olympic level. Danika is as versatile as her pedigree indicates, and exhibits great athleticism and natural balance in her movement. Flying changes come natural to her, and her friendly and open personality make her a joy to be around. Sire Donner Bube was a highlight at his stallion performance test in Germany, won the 100 day test in Switzerland and was then imported to North America. His third dam Alinda is the dam of the famous KWPN stallion Purioso, a major sire in the Netherlands. Donner Bube was competed in show jumping, but is trained in dressage as well. His sire Donnerhall was an international dressage superstar and has over 100 approved sons worldwide. Dam sire Pik Bube I was a stamping sire in Hanover and hails from the famous Pik Ass xx line. The combination of Donnerhall with Pik Bube daughters is a proven "nick" in sport horse breeding and also resulted in such stallions as Don Schufro or Don Primero. More importantly, both of these famous Oldenburg stallions carry performance proven Trakehner blood in their third generation - just like Danika!

With the Westfalian Rubinstein, the Trakehner Caprimond and Hanover's famous Weltmeyer, the dam Rosy Future contributes with three of the most successful sires in modern dressage horse breeding. Rubinstein competed at international championships during his active breeding career and Caprimond was also a Grand Prix horse and still continues to wow the crowds at stallions shows in a Grand Prix freestyle, now 25 years old and still exhibiting his breed's famous stamina and beauty. Danika's pedigree leaves many choices for modern stallion partners and she can also handle more TB-filled pedigrees due to her own strong background and physical attributes.
