Feine Melodie
Feine Melodie is out of our Hanoverian mare Cassia and by the Oldenburg stallion Feinbrand. Melodie is a wonderful black mare with a great personality, very correct conformation and lovely gaits. She in training under saddle and will debut in smaller shows in 2008.

Feine Melodie is a daugter of the famous Oldenburg stallion Feinbrand, who came to the US after a long career at stud in Europe. The bay, who was born in 1987, was the main premium stallion in Oldenburg in 1991, Landeschampion 1991 in Rastede, stallion class winner at the Bundeschampionat 1991, the best 3yo at the 100 day test in 1990 and again Landeschampion in 1992 and 1993 as a dressage horse. His third sire was the French Selle Francais Furioso II, a most important improvement sire in the Oldenburg breed in the late 60s and 70s in Germany. Equally potent as sire of dressage horses and show jumpers, Furioso II will always be remembered as one of the truly outstanding sires of the 20th century.
.Feinbrand's dam Lagune produced the mare Love Story (by Freiherr), who in turn produced a number of offspring in the Oldenburg registry that had impact on other warmblood breeds as well. For example, Ladys First by Pik Bube I out of Love Story was the dam of the approved FEI show jumper La Pico and other daughters have produced stallions like Controller (by Contendro I) and others. The mare family stands for Landfürst, Lauriston, Nariston, Sadenio, Dinar, Universal, and Flagranti, to name a few.

Dam Cassia combines two prominent dressage lines in her pedigree via the Trakehner elite stallion Caprimond and the stamping sire in Hanover, Weltmeyer. Caprimond is a prominent dressage sire not only in the Trakehner breed, but has had influence in Hanover and Oldenburg as well, and sired many approved sons, champion mares, Bundeschampionat horses and international competitiors. In the Trakehner breed, his son EH Hohenstein has a leading position among dressage sires and was able to stamp the Hanoverian breed as well, not only via his son His Highness, the record breaking approval champion, but through numerous other sons and high profile competition horses. Caprimond and Hohenstein are the leading type and rideability producers in the Hanoverian breed according to the latest breeding index books published. Weltmeyer, with over 100 approved sons, is a living legend and one of the most dominant producers of excellent hind end impulsion and elasticity in movement. He has been a proven and well known match for Trakehner bloodlines for a long time and Cassia is a wonderful example of this saught-after blend of performance lines.
Feine Melodie is for sale to a performance and/or breeding home. She is a mid-framed mare of very good type and overall conformational quality and moves effortlessly and with good impulsion. She is very people-oriented and thrives on attention. Her under saddle career is progressing nicley and her price is subject to change with the show season.
