Parody

Parody was born at Sunsprite Warmbloods int he late summer of 2007 after we had purchased her dam in foal to Guy Laroche. Parody is a lovely black filly with a one-of-a-kind personality - we enjoy her very much with her funny attitude and great expressive movement and athleticism. She will grow up here at the farm and we tentatively plan to show her at the upcoming Annual Meeting and Mare Show of the American Trakehner Association in Burbank in November of 2008.

The sire Guy Laroche (pictured left) was imported from Germany to Canada and stood at Rappenhof Trakehner Stud prior to his sale to the US in 2007. The bay stallion was premium in Neumünster in 1992, the same year his half brother Kennedy became champion stallion. Guy Laroche passed an excellent 100 day test and had success as a young dressage horse, but his show career never was developed much further. He was trained all the way to the FEI levels though and was able to stp up and compete at 4th level once he came to North America. His inspected daughters are ranked well lin Germany, especially in terms of type, upper body conformation and the correctness of their foundations. Guy Laroche's dam comes from the Gundula mare family, the same family that produced the outstanding brothers Guter Planet and Guter Stern and the CCI*** eventing stallion Grafenstolz TSF and the 2007 Neumünster champion Grand Passion.
