Poznan

Poznan was born at Sunsprite Warmbloods in 2006 and is a tall, substantial 2yr old Trakehner colt. He is a very friendly horse with a great attitude towards humans and his pedigree makes him a superior sport horse prospect for the future, with a lot of potential as a Hunter and/or Jumper.

The sire Hilton GS (pictured left) is an approved Trakehner premium stallion with the ATA and CSHA and comes from a proven sport horse background. His sire Bukephalos was a CCI** eventer in Europe prior to his import to Canada, and continued his under saddle career in North America. His offspring are excellent Hunters (e.g. the famous stallion Heinzelmann *Pg*, shown under the name of Storyteller; himself sire of the outstanding Hunter sire Asher). Bukephalos also sired the German approved Heling and several excellent performance horses in eventing and dressage in Europe. His dam came from a famous Irish race horse line and more importantly, produced the TB mare Bachkantate xx (by Pasteur xx). That mare Bachkantante xx produced two truly exceptional elite mares in Germany: the CCI*** eventing sisters ES Bunbury and ES Banteer, both by Parforce. Both are now brood mares after retirement. Ballyvergin's other daughter was the Trakehner mare Balzjagd by Insterfeuer, a full sister to Bukephalos. Balzjagd produced the approved stallion Balzflug (by Habicht), an upper level dressage stallion and very successful sire in the KWPN breed. His Trakehner son Tabaluga was approved, evented nationally, and is now a State Stud stallion in Zweibrücken. Finally, Balzjagd's daughter Balz (by Habicht) produced the State and Verband premium mare Belle Epoque (by EH Partout), the current State Champion mare in Northrhine-Westfalia (in hand). Quite a success story for the Irish TB in the Trakehner breed!

Hilton's dam Haiti *E* is an ATA Exceptional mare and the dam of the above mentioned Hunter champion Heinzelmann *Pg*, among many others. Haiti's son Haydn GS (by Apache) is a champion 3rd level dressage horse in Southern California today. The second dam Heimische *E* produced the approved Hänsel and came from Germany's Gestüt Birkhausen in the 80s. She is from a very strong sport horse family and her sire, Gazal ShA, was a very successful Shagya Arabian in the Trakehner breed. This is the family of many S level dressage horses and show jumpers, and also includes the approved stallions Heimherr (top jumper), Haydn, Honeur (sire of FEI dressage horses and show jumpers), Heidedorn and the younger Hidalgo (State Stud Moritzburg) .

Poznan is a substantial and tall 2yr old with absolutely impeccable manners, which he was practically born with. He is quiet, attentive, very sweet and a "people-horse". Due to substance and size we believe he will turn into a superior Hunter/Jumper and his bloodlines put an emphasis on athleticism and jumping potential. Poznan is for sale.
